Richard N. Lorenc is President & CEO at Certell, which provides world-class engaging digital curricula in the social studies to teachers, at no charge, for in-person learning. Lorenc served previously from 2021-2024 as Chief Growth Officer of Iron Light, an award-winning strategic marketing firm specializing in helping purpose-driven brands change the world. The company was named in both 2023 and 2024 to the Inc 5000 and Inc’s Fastest Growing Midwest Companies.

From 2013-2021 Lorenc served at the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), most recently as executive vice president. With his leadership, FEE reached thousands of students in person and hundreds of millions online annually.

In addition, Richard has served as a member of the Georgia Advisory Committee
to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (2020-2024) and as chairman of the board of directors of America’sFuture Foundation (2017-2024), a network of liberty-minded young professionals.

Lorenc is also chairman of BASEDPolitics, founded by Hannah Cox and Brad Polumbo, and is the board treasurer for MapHabit Action Fund, Inc., which assists in the provision of technology and equipment to individuals suffering from cognitive impairment.

Richard won a 2019 Buckley Award from America’s Future for his creative and innovative efforts to educate the next generation on free-market values and policy solutions.

Richard has traveled to more than 30 countries and has been published in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Washington Post, and others on topics ranging from constitutional government to LGBT rights. In Poland, Richard serves on the advisory board of the Freedom and Entrepreneurship Foundation (Fundacja Wolności i Przedsiębiorczości).

Richard and his husband Colin Caldarera live in Atlanta, Ga. with their sons Campbell and Leonard.
